The UN has described the growing refugee crisis in Syria as alarming saying the number of those displaced by the conflict has now passed 2 million people.
The High Commissioner for Refugees described the situation as a "disgraceful humanitarian calamity with suffering and displacement unparalleled in recent history".
While, the Irish government has announced it will pledge a further 1 million Euro in funding to support the growing humanitarian crisis.
It comes as a French intelligence report says the Syrian regime launched the alleged chemical attack in Damascus involving a "massive use of chemical agents".
The French government’s published a 9-page synopsis about Syria’s chemical weapons programme. It says it could carry out similar attacks in the future.
