A yellow high temperature warning has been issued for Clare.
Met Éireann is forecasting temperatures in excess of 27 degrees combined with overnight minimum temperatures of more than 15 degrees.

Potential impacts include uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, water safety issues due to increased use of lakes, beaches and waterways, forest fires and drought.
The alert remains in force until 7am tomorrow, while another yellow alert kicks in from noon on Wednesday, until 6am on Friday.
