Have you ever wondered just how many pubs there are in County Clare? Well, one man has decided to find out – and he’s going to visit every single one of them!
Cathal Roche has launched an exciting social media project called Everywhere in Clare, with the aim of documenting every pub in the Banner County through short videos showcasing the characters, atmosphere and stories behind each establishment.
Since launching on 18th October last, his first two videos, featuring The Burren Inn in Tubber and Gleeson’s Bar in Sixmilebridge, have already attracted tens of thousands of views across TikTok and Instagram.
Cathal believes pubs are the beating heart of our communities, there for us in the good times and the bad.
He joined Alan Morrissey to tell us about the project, the response so far and the challenge of visiting every pub in Clare.
