A number of cattle have been seized from a Clare farm in a welfare enforcement operation.
Officials from the Department of Agriculture carried out the operation in conjunction with An Garda Siochána.

It’s understood officials discovered several dead animals on the holding.
In a statement to Clare FM, the Department of Agriculture says “the removal of animals from a farm is only undertaken as a last resort to protect animal health and welfare.”
