A Garda investigation is underway after a man was attacked while sleeping in his own home in South East Clare.
At around 6.45 last Friday evening, two men entered a house in Arnataggle, O’Briensbridge, while the owner was sleeping.

One of the men entered his bedroom and held him down on the bed, while the other man searched the property
The men made their escape with a small sum of cash and a mobile phone and headed in the direction of Clonlara Cross in a vehicle.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Tríona O’Rourke is urging anyone with information to come forward.
