Clare FM has reinforced its position as the county’s most listened-to radio station.
The latest JNLR/Ipsos listenership figures, released today, once again highlight the strong role radio continues to play in Ireland.
A record 3.9 million people are tuning in every week and listeners are also spending more than four hours each day on average enjoying live Irish radio.
Clare FM, which is the current IMRO Local Radio Station of the Year now reaches more than 59,000 listeners every week, reflecting the station’s strong local focus and deep connection with communities throughout Clare.
Programme Director Padraic Flaherty said he was delighted with the latest results.
“We’re really thrilled with these figures which see Clare FM retain its number one position in a really competitive market and to have more than 59,000 people tuning in every week is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work and commitment of our entire team.
“What’s particularly pleasing is that all of our shows across the seven-day schedule are number one in their respective time slots, something few local radio stations across the country can say.
“It reflects the strong connection we have with our audience and the trust listeners continue to place in Clare FM every day.”
