A North Clare business has got the go-ahead for a development consisting of a new restaurant and car park.
Paddy Wagons Tours Limited, which is located in Mermaid House on Main Street in Liscannor, has been granted permission to change part of its ground floor from retail use and part of its first floor from office use to a restaurant.

It also sought to extend its car park in order to provide 14 car parking spaces as well as 15 bicycle spaces, and create a bus pull-in area that would also provides four on-street parking spaces at the front of the premises.
Clare County Council approved all aspects of the proposed development except a provision for the retention of external signage, which it says would injure the visual amenities of the area.
