A prominent Mid West business figure has claimed that the Mid West has been “largely ignored” in the government’s long-term plan for the country.

He also believes it represents what he calls “worrying confirmation” of a lack of political influence for this region at national level.
Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus today, James Ring argued that Shannon had been largely overlooked in the plan.
