It comes as the community group has noticed a growing trend in their recent litter-picking sessions of vaping products and packaging scattered throughout the local streets.

The devices, which contain lithium batteries, can potentially leak and become hazardous to local waterways if not suitably recycled.
Kilrush Tidy Towns Chair, Bríd Tevlin says the only way to prevent health and safety risks is to place the products in the bins provided or to choose the rechargeable alternative.
