Kilkee residents will attempt to take supreme court action to prevent the construction of a contentious wastewater treatment plant.
Uisce Éireann is planning to build a new sewerage treatment plant and pumping station just 620m away from Kilkee Cliff Walk.

In June, the High Court quashed a judicial review brought by the Save Kilkee Cliff Walk Campaign, which aimed to revisit the planning process.
Spokesperson Tom Byrne says regardless of the location, the planned treatment facility will not be sufficient to meet the town’s needs.
