A young man from Co. Kerry has drowned in the Netherlands.
The 28 year old, who has been named locally as Alan Lucid from Ballyheigue in North Kerry, got into difficulty in the water in northern Holland at around 4am yesterday morning.

The PhD student had been attending an international science conference.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family.
