A MEP for this region says Fianna Fáil’s immediate focus should be appealing to disenfranchised voters rather than replacing its leader.
Tensions are continuing to flare within the party following the Jim Gavin Presidential Debacle, which is currently under review.
Micheál Martin is now the second-longest serving leader in Fianna Fáil’s history, only behind Éamon DeValera who’s annual commemoration takes place at Ennis Courthouse on Sunday.
Ireland South MEP Billy Kelleher who had sought the party’s Presidential nomination has been telling Clare FM’s Morning Focus that policy issues should be the first priority.
