An Irish man has died after a suspected car jacking in Mexico.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family of the 29 year old from Co Louth.

Its believed he was travelling with his girlfiend, a US citizen, when this incident happened.
He was shot dead at a petrol station in the coastal area of Lazaro Cardenas in southern mexico
Local media is reporting he and his partner had stopped at a petrol station when two men tried to steal their car.
It’s also reported he was alive for a number of hours after being shot, but couldn’t get help from passersby.
