The new Chair of the Shannon Municipal District doesn’t believe the stalled progress of the Northern Distributor Road will impact any potential Strategic Development Zone in the area.
An application from Clare County Council and the University of Limerick to develop a new town on the Clare/Limerick border is currently on the Government’s desk.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has prevented the progress of phase 2 of the road, which is seen as significant for the progress of the application, by ministerial order.
