The chair of Clare’s Housing Committee has poured cold water on a government announcement of 119 new social houses for the county.
Reports suggest the Housing Minister is to unveil new plans for the construction of nearly 8,500 new social houses.

In a statement to Clare FM, Clare County Council says it has received no recent communication from the Department about any new housing builds.
Clare FM is still awaiting a response from the Department of Housing in relation to the issue.
