North Clare residents are hopeful a proposed new mural will bring life to Ennistymon.
Planning permission is being sought from Clare County Council to erect a mural on the gable end of the dwelling to the right of the gallery on Parliament Street.

The work will be approximately 6ft by 12ft in size and a mural of abstract visual art.
The town is already home to a somewhat controversial mural of the ‘Púca of Ennistymon’ – a 6ft statue which was rejected by residents and now resides at the Michael Cusack Centre.
A decision from Clare County Council is due to be published in October.
