It’s hoped Clare’s first ever Age Friendly Week will inspire older people to engage in activities that promote active ageing and positive wellbeing.
The initiative will coincide with Positive Ageing Week which gets underway on Monday and will focus this year on ‘connecting generations’.

As part of the programme of events in Clare, an expo will take place in Treacy’s West County Hotel on Thursday which will offer information, advice and support for older people, their families and carers.
Clare Age Friendly Programme Manager, Shanelle Warring, is optimisitc it will showcase the positive aspects to ageing.
