Government Confirms Clare Weather Warning System Will Take Effect Next Year

The Government has confirmed that a localised Clare weather warning system will be in place by the start of next year’s storm season.

Minister of State Thomas Byrne made the announcement, following concerns raised by Clare TD Joe Cooney over delays to the initial rollout.

Deputy Cooney raised the concerns in the aftermath of storms Boelo and Austen where Clare felt the brunt of heavy wind and rain despite only being subject to a yellow warning.
