Clare had the highest level of house price increase in Ireland last year, new figures have revealed.
The latest survey from GeoDirectory looks at the property market in 2018 under a number of headings, placing the average price in Clare now at over €188,000.
This is an annual increase of almost 25% – around €3,000 per month last year – and is the highest rate of increase experienced in the country.
The survey also shows that the vacancy rate has dropped here slightly to 6.8% which puts it in the healthy bracket, while 383 new dwellings were added to the stock across 2018.
CEO of GeoDirectory Dara Keogh says the supply issue continues to be an problem:
