Clare’s Green Party Senator has brought a motion before the Seanad asking for water to be recognised as a human right.
Inagh-based Senator Roisin Garvey wants to see the State provide for safe water treatment and distribution through systems in either public or community ownership.

Senator Garvey believes the issue of accessible, clean water here has now become a crisis.
