Gardaí have released without charge a man that they were questioning in relation to a 2006 murder in South-East Clare.
The man, aged in his late 30s, was arrested on Tuesday last, over thirteen years after 19-year-old Aidan Kelly from Moyross in Limerick was shot dead in a gangland style shooting.
The incident occurred at Blackwater, Ardnacrusha on May 10th, 2006 and this week’s arrest was the first in connection with the killing.
Last night, the man was released without charge by Gardaí in Limerick who will now prepare a file on the matter for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
