Gardaí are searching for a woman believed to be involved in the burglary of a retail premises in Ennis.
The woman entered the business on Cornmarket Street yesterday afternoon, shortly before half past three and stole a sum of money.
It’s understood she left the scene in a grey Audi and Gardaí believe three were two men waiting for her in the car.
“A witness at the scene described the offender as female in her late 30’s, early 40’s,” said Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.
“She was 5 foot 3 in height and wearing a beige dress with a black belt. She had long brown hair to the middle of her back and it was cut in a chopped fashion.
“She had very distinctive brown eyes and a distinctive mole at the crease line on the right side of her nose.
“Ennis Gardaí are appealing to anyone that was in the Cornmarket area of Ennis town yesterday between 3pm and 4pm, did you see this woman or a grey Audi in the area.
“If you did or if you have CCTV on your home or a Dash-Camera in your vehicle, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100” Sergeant Holohan concluded.
