A garda investigation is underway into an assault in Ennis which resulted in a man being hospitalised.
The incident occurred at approximately 9.30pm on Francis Street on Monday night.

Gardaí say a man in his 40s was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of injuries he sustained.
Investigations are ongoing.
