Fresh anger has been expressed over the level of funding awarded to the Shannon Venue as part of a Government announcement earlier this week.
The multi-functional Community, Civic and Arts Centre has been allocated around 100 thousand euro under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund, to proceed with a masterplan for the project and the area.

But much more funding had been sought by those behind the project, who believe they’re ready to begin construction.
