The Lough Derg RNLI came to the assistance of five people on the lake last night.
At around 8:30, whilst out on an exercise, volunteers came across a 20ft boat which had suffered engine failure at Two Mile Gate on the Clare side of the water.

A jet ski which had attempted to tow them had also suffered battery failure.
The lifeboat crew towed the boat with four adults and a child on board back to Killaloe, while the jet ski was then also safely retrieved.
