There is disappointment in Feakle after its traditional music festival failed to secure any funding for a second year running.
The annual event was last awarded 9,000 euro from the Arts Council of Ireland in 2015 and it was hoped a grant would be secured this year as they celebrate their 30th anniversary.

However, the committee has been left to raise an estimated 50,000 euro without assistance.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Hayes has been involved with the festival for 25 years – he says the lack of national funding is putting huge pressure on them:
