Farmers Want To Draw A Line In The Sand Over IFA Salaries Controversy

Farmers say they want to draw a line in the sand and rebuild the trust lost in the IFA after the controversy over pay.

It’s after details emerged of the pay packet of the former General Secretary, Pat Smith.

Anger among farmers grew after it emerged Mr. Smith was to be paid a severance package worth two million euro.

The Executive Council of the IFA will this afternoon be presented with a review by Clare economist Con Lucey.
