Shannon Airport is in line to benefit from a new €315 billion investment plan.

The Government has made seven submissions for funding under the EU Juncker Investment Plan which was set up last November to encourage growth across the continent.
The plan seeks investment from the private sector which will then be distributed to a number of projects across Europe, and submissions for Shannon include the construction of three hangers, a full renewal of its runway and works in the Airport's terminal building.
