The European Union says it awaits with ‘great interest’ the a feasibility study on the potential use of Shannon Airport as a hub for humanitarian aid.
Addressing an Oireachtas Committee, the EU’s Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Kristalina Georgieva also emphasized the importance of such a facility within the Union.
