The ESB is working to restore power to around 37 thousand customers affected by Storm Doris.
The wild weather – which brought winds of up to 140 km per hour – has caused widespread damage across parts of the west, northwest and east of the country.

Clare has so far managed to avoid the worst of the damage apart from an outage in the Spanish Point area affecting 79 customers for a short period earlier this morning.
