It’s claimed the highly-anticipated Ennis Town Bus Service is still on course to receive government funding despite suggestions to the contrary.
Former Mayor of Ennis Johnny Flynn made suggestions last week that TII funding for the project, which would traverse Ennis from the Lahinch Road to the Tulla Road and from Clarecastle to Ballymaley, is far from a done deal.
It comes as Ennis Municipal District has launched an online anonymous survey seeking to understand what residents, students, workers and visitors would like to see in the county town by way of transport and accessibility improvements in the future.
Senior Executive Engineer with Ennis Municipal District Eamon O’Dea says while some details have yet to be ironed out, he’s confident the service will be rolled-out in 2025.
