Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD has described Éir’s latest revelation abotu the National Broadband Plan as a “wake up call for the Governemnt.
The company yesterday told an Oireachtas committee it could roll-out the plan for one billion euro, which is up to three times cheaper than the deal the Government has signed.

The ESB will appear before the communications committee this evening to explain why it also pulled out of the tendering process.
