Eight Clare Local Authority Marine Infrastructure Projects Granted Almost €400k

Close to 400,000 euro in grant funding has been announced for eight Clare Local Authority Marine Infrastructure projects.

As part of a 4.3 million euro Government allocation, Clare Minister of State for Fisheries and the Marine, Timmy Dooley has announced funding for 57 projects across eleven coastal local authorities.

The funding will assist the coastal local authorities in the maintenance and development of fishery and aquaculture linked marine infrastructure in their ownership.

Clare County Council projects costing just over half a million euro, will receive 375,926 euro in grant funding.

These include upgrade works at Seafield, Killdysart, Doonmore, Carrigaholt, Knock and Cappagh Piers, as well as shower maintenance works at Doonbeg and aid to navigation maintenance at the Shannon Estuary.
