East Clare Marks Century Of Political And Community Involvement

100 years of political and community involvement in East Clare will be celebrated this weekend.

East Clare Fianna Fáil is holding a special centenary celebration this Saturday evening at Cnoc na Gaoithe in Tulla, looking back at the people and events that have shaped political life in the area over the past century.

There’ll also be a special presentation on Éamon de Valera, who was first elected in East Clare in 1918.

Chair of East Clare Fianna Fáil, PJ Cunningham, believes the party has been a bedrock of the community.
