A motorist carrying an unrestrained child has been arrested at a Clare school for driving under the influence of drugs.
Clare’s Road’s Policing Unit intercepted a Nissan Primera earlier today after it triggered an alert on the Automatic Number Plate Recognition System as the car had no tax, insurance and NCT.

It also emerged the driver didn’t have a licence and they subsequently failed a roadside drug test for cannabis.
The driver was arrested and their car was seized.
