Efforts are underway to rehabilitate a dog which was found abandoned along with several bags of rubbish in East Clare.
The animal was found in Kilkishen last week and is thought to be over 10 years old.

Due to the poor condition of the dog, his breed is currently unknown, however it is now under the care of a local vet.
Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says it was a deplorable situation.
