Clare beach walkers are being warned that a dangerous species of jellyfish could be along the county’s coast this weekend.
The Portuguese Man O War has been spotted on strands in Kerry in recent weeks and recent weather conditions are bringing hundreds of them to Clare.

The distinctive blue and purple creatures tend to wash up on beaches and their venom, which causes excruciating pain and sometimes life-threatening anaphylactic shock, remains in their bodies for days after death.
