Calls are being made for more lands in Clare to be zoned for green energy development.
It follows Cabinet’s approval of the Large Energy Action Plan, which aims to facilitate future investment in energy intensive sectors.

The ESB is aiming to deliver the Green Atlantic at Moneypoint Project by 2029, which would power up to 1.6 million homes.
Kilrush Independent Councillor Ian Lynch, believes, however, there’s scopes for many more grid connections to Moneypoint and Ardnacrusha.
