Council Urged To Progress Ennis Footbridge “Before Some Gets Hurt”

Clare County Council is being urged to progress a proposed bridge on the outskirts of Ennis “before someone gets hurt”.

The local authority has submitted a funding application for a new pedestrian footbridge at Droichead na Gabhair on the Drumcliff Road in the county town.

Campaigners have long called for the measure which is intended to improve pedestrian safety and create an accessibility link to John O’Sullivan Park.

Local father David Eustace says everyone living in the area wants to see action taken.
