Nearly €2m Paid Out To Help Clare Firms Restart After Lockdown

Nearly €2 million has been paid to Clare businesses under a restart grant designed to help them return to trading in the aftermath of the COVID-19 shutdown.

Figures released to the Dáil show the amount – 1.92 million – is the ninth highest of all local authorities, with more being paid here than in Cork City or County, Dublin City, Kerry and Tipperary.

The grant will provide direct aid to small businesses and is worth the equivalent of a business’ rates bill for last year, up to €10,000.
