A section of the N67 road between Kilkee and Doonbeg has been closed following a two car-collision.
The incident occurred shortly before 12:30pm.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash is understood to have caught fire, while multiple passengers have been taken to University Hospital Limerick by ambulance.
