Hopes For Quick Johnson & Johnson Rollout As Clare Vaccination Centre Opens

Clare’s Fianna Fail TD believes an effective rollout of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine would see Ireland reach a level of ‘herd immunity’ to the disease far quicker than expected.

The European Medicines Agency says the overall benefits of the jab outweigh its risks, with health regulators here now able to decide on the rollout of the one shot jab.

It comes as Clare’s vaccination centre at Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis begins operations today, issuing the AstraZeneca jab to people in the 65 to 69 age cohort.
