Almost €150,000 in Government funding has been awarded to local projects in this county.
Under the Local Enhancement Programme 2024, the Department of Rural and Community Development has announced that €145,630 will go to 87 local projects in Clare.
Among those set to benefit is the O’Regan Park Committee in Newmarket-on-Fergus which has been granted €8,000, while Kilkee Playground has received €4,500 and €4,300 has been allocated to the Ballyea Development Association.

The fund was established in December of last year to provide capital supports for community groups and organisations, and €1 million has been ringfenced to go to women’s groups.
