Concerns have been raised after multiple incidents of squatters moving into holiday homes with dogs, horses and other animals in Clare.
One such incident saw a residence in the north of the county being “trashed” after 10 dogs were brought into the premises along with the owner.

The individual involved has since been removed and eight of the puppies have been rehomed so far.
Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says it was a stressful situation.
