Concern has been expressed that Clare cancer patients could be facing into lengthy treatment delays.
The Irish Society of Radiation Oncology has told an Oireachtas Committee that up to 80% of radiotherapy machines nationwide need to be replaced.

It’s estimated that up to 50% of all cancer patients will need radiotherapy at some point during their illness.
