A Clare woman living with Multiple Sclerosis believes mental resilience can help people navigate any challenge.
It comes ahead of World MS Day, marked globally on May 30th, which aims to raise awareness of MS, a chronic, unpredictable autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system, and highlight the realities of diagnosis.
Ennis resident Samantha McCarthy was diagnosed with MS 26 years ago and has experienced a number of symptoms, including complete loss of vision in one eye, Bell’s Palsy and sciatica.
Samantha says early diagnosis and education are key, and she’s urging people living with chronic illness not to give up hope.
