People planning to walk off the excesses of Christmas over the coming days are being urged to stick to routes they know and avoid coastal or hill areas during adverse conditions.
While conditions are expected to be mild for the remainder of the festive season, those heading outdoors are still being urged to carry appropriate protective gear and to inform others if they are planing an outing on their own.
