It’s feared Clare’s tourism reputation could soon suffer due to a raft of pub closures.
It comes as the Vintners Federation of Ireland has held its annual conference this week, where it was revealed over 2,200 pubs have closed nationwide since 2005.

A members survey also found that 42% of publicans aren’t confident about their future due to soaring operating costs.
