A Clare Taxi Driver is urging people to book their lift home in advance to avoid disappointment over the Christmas period.
There are currently 419 taxi drivers operating in Clare, which is a drop of 5% in the last decade, while in this time the population has rose by 11,000.

Concerns have also been consistently raised by groups such as the Clare branch of the Vintners Federation of Ireland, citing difficulties for night out goers getting home.
