Clare’s Green Party Senator is calling for leap cards to be made available on local link services in this county.
It comes as public consultation is continuing on the National Transport Authority’s Connecting Ireland plan, which proposes enhanced bus services in both rural and urban parts of Clare.
Currently, leap cards are only used for public transport in Dublin and other major cities and urban areas.
